NJPW Five Count: Zack Sabre Jr Winning New Japan Cup 2018
One of the best New Japan Cup tournaments finished in 2018 with a surprise winner, Zack Sabre Jr. While Japanese publications had Kota Ibushi as a favorite and even stateside magazines had Tomohiro Ishii, New Japan pulled the trigger to have Suzuki-gun’s ZSJ not only earn the trophy, but challenge IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada for the upcoming Sakura Genesis event.
